You are an experienced Solutions Architect, looking for a new challenge in the data center/networking industry. You seek an opportunity to apply your skills and expertise in a company that is blazing new trails in the research and development of effective and innovative data center solutions. As part of the corporate R&D group, our Solutions Architect will work closely with our Data Center business unit, end users and key partners to provide technical expertise which will contribute to the product strategy. This is an exciting and dynamic role that will leverage your existing deep understanding of the data center industry as well as interactions with customers and strategic partners to develop forward looking technical perspective of the data center marketplace. You will be based at our state-of-the-art research facility in Tinley Park, IL, traveling to customer and partner sites as needed (Up to 35% travel). You will remain active and up to date on competitive technologies and relevant standard organizations. Your vision will continuously explore 3-5 years down the road; focusing on new technologies that could impact Panduit infrastructure products. Solutions Architect - Data Center Technology - R&D Job Requirements
Your role as a Solutions Architect will involve coordinating with teams throughout the corporation to drive business and create customer demand for preferred technical solutions. You will be responsible for developing best practice designs for physical layer infrastructures by creating reference architecture documents that can be applied in the data center. You will support technical training sessions and provide training content for instructor lead, on-line and written training formats. A strong candidate will have an extensive knowledge base in Data Center applications, network architectures, and cloud (public, private, and/or hybrid). Experience with virtualization, big data, hyperscale applications, and/or software-defined networking is also highly advantageous.
You bring to the table:
- 8+ years of Information Technology solutions experience
- Data Center experience is strongly preferred
- CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, and BICSI RCDD are plusses
- Strong analysis/decision making and computer skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to C-level executives (internally & externally).
- Ability to select and direct multi-functional teams and drive change.
- Effectively directing multiple program priorities to meet program milestones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology or Technical Field
- Master’s degree preferred
- Ability and willingness to travel 35% - domestic and international
