Job Summary:

Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the IT & Data Analysis Division. The position ensures that strategies and requirements are clearly understood by all employees and the division contributes to the organization achieving its goals. Ensure a quality result by providing the appropriate direction and leadership within the division. Coordinates activities with other divisions and Program Directors/Managers.    Position will oversee a diverse staff which includes the following areas: data analysis, statistics, software development, systems integration and IT infrastructure.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with Department Managers and other key staff within the division to ensure employees are being utilized efficiently according to the workflow and needs of task orders and other divisions

  • Supports new business and expansion opportunities through development of IT and analytic solutions

  • Provides direction and motivation including coaching, mentoring, addressing employee relation issues, completing performance appraisals, initiating corrective actions, and directing employee development

  • Actively participates in the development of company policies and procedures. Provides oversight to ensure compliance.

  • Assist in hiring process by determining staffing requirements and making recommendations of competencies need for open positions within the Division to compliment team dynamics. Makes hiring decisions in consultation with Department Managers

  • Ensures proper training, ongoing development, and support for staff as required to complete assigned workload

  • Provide oversight and direction to staff in managing problems that arise from day to day contract work. Assist in removing barriers so that employees can perform their duties

  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure contract/division metrics and requirements are meeting or exceeding company goals

  • Provide oversight and guidance to ensure contract budgets and the company annual operating plan (AOP) are understood and resources are utilized appropriately

  • Keeps up to date on industry trends/tools in information technology and analysis and incorporates into company solutions as appropriate.

  • Develop, monitor, and report on operating costs within the Division to assure adequate staff, equipment, resources, and other materials are available to perform necessary functions. Make recommendations and implement solutions to problems related to operating costs

  • Provide status reports on activities within the Division to the Chief Operating Officer and Corporate Advisory Team as appropriate; recommend plans and activities for the future growth and development of the Division

  • Coach and mentor as needed regarding the Strategic vision and infuse it into all divisional activities and assignments

  • Manage and contribute to the quality management system and encourage employees to perpetuate a culture of Continuous Process Improvement (CQI) throughout the division

  • Coordinate with Systems Security Officer (SSO) to maintain confidentiality of all protected health information (PHI), personally identifiable information (PII), and other sensitive materials

Division Director Of Information Technology & Data Analysis Job Requirements

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in information technology, computer science, business administration or related field; Master’s degree preferred

  • Individual must possess a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience

  • Individual must possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in the area of information technology, statistics or data analysis (combined)

  • Proven leadership ability to build an elite organization

  • Excellent verbal, written, and overall people management skills to produce exceptional results

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong project management skills. Able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint

Working Conditions:

  • Typical office setting

  • Ability to express or exchange ideas to convey detailed or important instructions to others

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer for an extended period using repetitive motion

  • Ability to prepare complex data and figures and/or complete extensive reading and research

  • Ability to occasionally travel

  • Ability to work extended hours as needed

  • Ability to work regular hours with predictable attendance on the job
